Restoration
Restoration.
We don't determine what your policy covers. We determine what it takes to restore it right.
What if the rebuild costs more than the insurance estimate?
Our estimate will not always match your insurance company's. That is normal. It has a name. A supplement.
We document the full scope line by line, so the difference can be shown item by item.
“Do I have to use the contractor my insurance company recommended?”
No. You have the right to select your own restoration company.
It is one of the biggest misconceptions homeowners have after a loss.
Four kinds of loss.
Each one raises a different question. Start with yours.

Level 3 Xactimate certified estimatorOur estimate will not always match your insurance company's, and it does not mean anyone is being dishonest. A first inspection cannot see everything, and building code and manufacturer installation requirements are not always accounted for.
The difference is called a supplement, the normal way additional items get added to a claim after the first estimate. We document what the rebuild requires and give it to you in the format your carrier already works in, so it can go in with your claim.
We estimate in XactRemodel, a detailed, standardized estimating model from the same software family as Xactimate, though not the same software. It prices labor rates, material costs, taxes, overhead and profit, with localized rates for our area. You get the work priced line by line, not a number on the back of a card.

What don't you do?
We are not public adjusters. The carrier determines coverage; we determine how the property needs to be repaired, document the construction, and submit supplements when necessary. Specialized mitigation - water extraction, drying, mold or environmental remediation - can be handled or coordinated as needed. Our role is the general contracting and reconstruction the property needs.
